Branding Iron Steak House in Oakhurst

We visited during the COVID-19 pandemic, while the restaurant was moved entirely outdoors, including the kitchen (centered around an open fire grill). The menu was understandably limited under these circumstances, and the kitchen obviously without its usual tools and appliances, but we enjoyed a pleasant meal outside in the company of friendly staff and other guests. Do note that hours (and the days they are open) are limited during the pandemic, so check before you plan your visit!

We had a great meal with nicely prepared steaks, a wonderful stater of gnocchi with crimeni mushrooms and bacon, and a lovely vanilla crepe with vanilla bean ice cream and carmelized banana with a berry coulis. Staff was friendly and efficient. We will be back!

I love this place! The girls are sweet and hold a smile. The food is tasty and there are variety of beers to choose from as well as wines.

Friendly service, nice mountain lodge decor, did not order much (salad and snack) but everything was very fresh and delicious.

Nicely remodeled but menu choices were sparse with little to no description. While the sides were acceptable, the flat iron steak and the BB ribs were the worst we've ever had. They claim to have an 'executive' chef but he needs to go back to school IMHO.We totally do not recommend eating here!

They cook to order very well, highly recommend.

The food and service is AMAZING! Breakfast is really good and affordable. Potatoes were so good. Dinner is even better. I had the cheeseburger which came with fries and was only $11 and was huge and very tasty. Can't wait to go back to try the steak. My daughter is Vegan and they made her a very good meal as well.

Part of the Sierra Sky Ranch, a very nice small bar and good sized restaurant. Menu includes full dinners with entree and dessert. The trout I had was excellent served with good creamed corn and mashed potatoes. Lots of other sides available. Apps of fried mozzarella along with fried string beans also good. Nice setting and friendly service.

Restaurant in the Ranch beautiful and characteristic, we took a rib eye and a fillet accompanied by the side dish, the all really fantastic cooking of the perfect meat unique flavor!Finally, chocolate and hazelnut cake and a portion of fruit that are also well made.Waiter very nice and professionalI highly recommend it!It is not very far from Yosemite National Park and therefore I would say that a stop here is a must.There are no more than 5 stars sin because it really deserves them

Reasonably priced menu. Service was great! Steaks tender and juicy, cooked to perfection.. loved it!

Food was phenomenal, and the service was extra friendly! Whether you are staying at the Sierra Sky Ranch, or just driving by, I would recommend stopping in for some amazing steak. Prices were excellent too.

We had a great meal. Rib Eye Steak was cooked perfectly. Try the Deep Fried Cheese Cake! It was Awesome. They were a little understaffed, and busy. Understandable for off season. We were not in a hurry. We will definitely go back in the future. One of our new favorites in Oakhurst.

Ambiance was nice. The food was terrible. The $38 ribeye steak was about 3/8". I requested "Rare" and got "Medium" doneness. The baked potato was not very hot and the bottom was burnt. The vegetable was 2 spears of asparagus and 1 carrot. The waitress was attentive, friendly and apologetic.

Had a wonderful dinner. Debbie did a great job even though they were short staffed. Beef stew, ribs, brisket, sliders all were fantastic.

From the moment we walked in the door every detail was perfect. The service and friendly staff are exceptional. The food was very good and topped the entire experience off. We will definitely return.

Looks better then it is. $36 for a thin cold and dried out steak. Poor lighting in restaurant, couldn't even see to leave to walk to car, very dangerous.

Best steaks in the area, large portions, great service, I prefer the Marilyn Monroe Ribeye.

Awful meal here. Hugely overpriced. Waited ages for steak my wife's was cold. Tired salad with a few small tomatoes along with a few soggy processed fries - don't bother find somewhere else. Shame because the restaurant is letting down a nice hotel.

We had a very good flat iron steak and rib eye and veggies very tasty great service and great prices totally recommend to locals plus 10% discount and the place looks rustic and warm.

This restaurant was Amazing! Owner was so pleasant and personable. I decided to get the salmon dish. I was a little unsure but it turned out to be the best salmon I have ever had! My husband had the pismo filet. He said it was the best steak he has ever had. Food it worth every penny. Atmosphere was wonderful.

The steak was juicy and tender. I loved it.

Note: this is not the same restaurant as many of these reviews as it has new owners and a new menu as of about a month ago.The food was excellent. Multiple kitchen errors plus our son's dinner coming out 10 to 15 minutes later than everybody else's dinner was quite disappointing. Also, multiple items on the menu and on the wine list were actually not available. I understand that this restaurant has only been open for three weeks but they have got to get their menu aligned with their kitchen staff. Also, for what we paid, the service was a bit sub-par.

Had a awesome experience here with my girlfriend. The food arrives quickly and the service is just great. Prices are fair.

I ate a fillet steak. The garnished salad and squid fried were delicious. The bucket was like freshly baked.

By far the nicest staff and most inviting restaurant/bar experience. Lauren ran a great service while still putting so much care and expertise into the drink making. Food was good, desserts were something beyond.
